Walking Tours
Cracow's Old Town is easy to visit just to wander around, but a guided tour will enrich the experience. The Cracow Tourism Promotion Agency, Rynek Kleparski 4-7, organises city tours (tel: (012) 422 7127). A number of operators can arrange walking tours for groups, including those listed under Bus Tours below.

Bus Tours
Cracow Tours can be booked through the Orbis, Rynek Glowny 41 (tel: (012) 422 4632), Intercrac, Rynek Glowny 14 (tel: (012) 422 5840), Jan-Pol, Westerplatte 15 (tel: (012) 421 4206) travel offices or Point, Ibis Hotel Przy Rondzie Street (tel: (012) 638 6894). Buses depart from a number of hotels for the three-and-a-half-hour city tour (cost: Z115). Daily excursions are available to Auschwitz in the morning (cost: Z115) and the Royal Salt Mines at Wieliczka (see Excursions) in the afternoon (cost: Z115).

Boat Tours
Hour-long boat tours on the Wisla River offer great views of Wawel Castle. Departures are from south of Wawel (near the Most Grunwaldzki) from May to September. In summer, linger awhile on the boat's cafÉ (open 1000-2100).
