Walking Tours

The Municipal Tourist Office (tel: (03) 521 8500) has produced a number of walking routes known as Orange Routes ('Tapouz' in Hebrew). These routes are marked on a free map from the tourist office and signposted throughout the city. To see most of Tel Aviv's sights, routes 1 and 2 are recommended.

Orange Route 1:
This route take 3 hours 30 minutes to complete (including time to view the museums) and commences at Idelson Street. Places of interest included in the tour are the First Town Hall, Bialik House, Yemenite Quarter and Independence Hall.

Orange Route 2:
This route takes approximately 2 hours 30 minutes to complete (excluding time spent in museums). The route commences at Shalom Aleichem and proceeds left onto Ben Yehuda, where it reaches its first place of interest at the Ichud ShivatZion Synagogue. Other attractions along the route include Helenah Rubinstein Pavillion, Frederic Mann Auditorium and Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

Bus Tours

Egged Tlalim Tours
, 59 Ben Yehuda Street (tel: (03) 527 1212), offers a half-day city tour, costing NIS110 and departing at 1000 on Sunday and Thursday from Ben Yehuda Street. It takes approximately four hours and attractions include the Eretz Israel Museum, Oppenheimer Museum, Ytzahk Rabin Square, Old Jaffa and Shuq Hapishshpeshim Flea Market.
