Walking Tours
Walking tours such as the Old Town Walkabout, a guided stroll through the medieval core of the city and a variety of others are offered by City Sightseeing (tel: (08) 140 30) with prices starting at around 80SKr.

Bus Tours
City Sightseeing (see Walking Tours above) tour with an hour-long bus ride around the royal park, Djurgården, for around 250SKr.

Boat Tours
A waterborne tour is as essential for Stockholm as for Venice. The Stockholmcard gives free boat tours on certain services in summer. Strömma Canal Company (tel: (08) 58 71 40 00; website: www.strommakanalbolaget.com) and Stockholm Sightseeing, Skeppsbron 22 (tel: (08) 58 71 40 20; website: www.stockholmsightseeing.com), run various boat tours of the city, with departure points from quays by the Royal Dramatic Theatre, the Grand Hôtel and City Hall. Boat tours of the major waterside sites take about two hours and cost SKr140. A tour around Djurgården lasts about one hour and costs SKr90.
