Cardiff International Airport is located in Rhoose, 19km (12 miles) southwest of the city centre.

Major airlines: Direct scheduled flights are provided by British Airways to Aberdeen, Belfast, Brussels, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guernsey and Paris, while KLM provide direct flights to Amsterdam, Ryanair to Dublin and Manx Airlines to Jersey. A number of airlines run charter services to mainland Europe and further afield.

Approximate flight times to Cardiff: From New York is 8 hours 45 minutes; from Los Angeles 12 hours 20 minutes; from Toronto 8 hours 50 minutes and from Sydney 24 hours 20 minutes. These times include stopovers and transfers. There are no flights between London and Cardiff.

Airport facilities: Thomas Cook offers 24-hour banking and exchange services daily between May and October. Other services include a 24-hour information desk, executive lounge, ATMs, duty-free shops, restaurants and pubs. There are also facilities for disabled passengers, car parks and car hire from Europcar and Hertz.

Business facilities: There is no business centre in the airport.

Arrival/departure tax: Included in the airline ticket.

Transport to the city: Cardiff Bus runs buses X91 and 92 hourly 0630-1830 Monday to Saturday. Fares are £2.10 (single) or £2.70 (return). Shamrock runs the X45 bus Monday to Saturday. Fares are £2 single and £3.25 return. First Cymru's X5 coach runs from Cardiff Airport to Cardiff coach station on Sundays only 0845-2135. Cardiff Airport Taxis (tel: (01446) 710 693) charge £16 for trips to the city centre.
