Amtrak
(tel: (800) USA RAIL; web site: www.amtrak.com) operates services from Union Station at 1701 Wynkoop Street (tel: (303) 534 2812), which is at the northwest end of 17th Street. The station has minimal facilities, such as bars and cafÉs. Amtrak's main east-west route runs through Denver with three arrivals a day. Rail services:
The California Zephyr runs daily between San Francisco (journey time - x 10 hours x 40 minutes) and Chicago (journey time - x 18 hours). During the snow season the Ski Train runs from Union Station to Winter Park (journey time - 2 hours).

Transport to the city:
The station is located on the edge of LoDo and is within a ten-minute walk of the major hotels.
