Walking Tours

Although there are no organised walking tours of Las Vegas, the city is easily explored on foot. Las Vegas Boulevard runs through the heart of downtown in the north of the city, and turns into the Strip itself in the south. The best way to take in the sights is simply to walk this road and follow the bright flashing lights.

Bus Tours

Gray Line Las Vegas
(tel: (702) 384 1234) offers sightseeing tours of Las Vegas departing at 0730 and 1230 and costing US$34. Tours depart from the Freemont Street Tour Centre and include a narrated tour of the Strip and the Freemont Street Pedestrian Mall.

Other Tours

A number of companies operate coach tours that take in the captivating desert landscape that surrounds Las Vegas. Action Tours (tel: (702) 566 7400) provides tours to attractions such as the Grand Canyon, Death Valley and Red Rock Canyon and also operates river rafting adventures. Guaranteed Tours (tel: (702) 369 1000) operates local sightseeing tours to the places like Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, as well as the nearby towns of Mesquite and Laughlin.
