Sightseeing While most cities have particular entertainment districts for tourists to visit amongst other attractions, Las Vegas is one giant entertainment district. Divided in half, the downtown, also known as 'Glitter Gulch' for the bright neon signs and millions of flashing lights, is the living embodiment of old Las Vegas - vintage-style hotels, casinos, stage shows and strip joints, which are joined by the new and popular Freemont Street Experience Mall. Further south, between downtown Las Vegas and McCarran International Airport, lies the Strip. The Strip is home to latest, biggest, most ambitious casinos, many of which verge on being mini theme parks. Las Vegas' biggest and best casinos are listed below, although many others worth visiting can also be found in the Nightlife section.
