Language

English is the principal language in Glasgow. The Glaswegian accent is quite strong and local speech may also have elements of Scots dialect, but for the most part English-speaking visitors will not have too much of a problem conversing in Glasgow. Other European languages are becoming more and more accepted in the city, helped no doubt by increased inward investment from international concerns.
