The Port of Cleveland is connected to the rest of the Great Lakes and to the Atlantic Ocean via the Great Lakes-St Lawrence Seaway. It is primarily a freight port, however passenger traffic is being encouraged. Passenger facilities are still rather undeveloped, but it is hoped this will change as passenger traffic increases.

Ferry services: Ferry service to Canada is being negotiated at the moment.

Transport to the city: The Port of Cleveland lies three blocks from downtown, which is accessible by foot in a matter of minutes. There is also a rapid transit station operated by Regional Transit Authority.
