Walking Tours
The Bombay Heritage Walks Society (e-mail: heritagewalks@hotmail.com), run by four Mumbai architects, organises a series of guided (English-language) walks around various interesting parts of the city. The walks are only conducted on Sunday evenings, last 60-90 minutes and cost Rs50. The local press is the easiest way of finding out the schedule. Those interested must register by e-mail with the Society at least three days in advance.

Bus Tours

The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC; tel: (022) 202 7762) runs several bus tours of Mumbai, every day except Monday. There is a half-day (1400-1800) tour, which costs Rs50, and a full-day (0915-1815) tour, which costs Rs130. MTDC also run two tours of the city by night at 1900-2015 and 2030-2115 (Sat and Sun only). These cost Rs10-50. All tours depart from the MTDC building at Nariman Point on Marine Drive.
