In order to ensure that your messages are received
correctly by as many e-mail programs as possible, it is essential that graphic
images are referenced from the web rather than embedded in e-mail messages.
If you have an account with an Internet Service Provider
(ISP), then that is probably the best place for you to upload image files so
that they will be available in the e-mail messages you send. Contact your ISP
and ask for information about how to upload files to your personal web space.
Typically, you will login to the ISP with an FTP program and upload files to
disk space that has been allocated for your account. Once files have been
uploaded, you can use the web address, also known as a URL (Uniform Resource
Locator) in your e-mails.
A number of sites provide the service of storing and displaying your
pictures for free. A couple of sites that provide this service are:
http://www.clubphoto.com
http://photos.yahoo.com
To get started, just sign on to the site of your choice and follow
the instructions on creating a Photo Album and adding your pictures to it.
