unlock()
Syntax
unlock(whichObject
)
Description
Multiuser Server server-side command; Unlocks the given data object so that other threads may have access to it with the lock()
command. Lockable data objects include lists and property lists. Other threads that issue a lock()
command are blocked until unlock()
is called for the object by the thread that originally locked it.
Note: A list object will be automatically unlocked if a thread both locks the list and then resets the list to a new list value. The lock stays in effect only when individual values inside the list are edited.
Example
This statement unlocks the property list called sharedData
:
unlock(sharedData)
