Adjust the Tonal Range
Improve the contrast in your photograph using the Levels command.

Do it for me 1. Choose Enhance > Brightness/Contrast > Levels.

The Levels dialog displays a histogram that indicates the tonal range of the image, from shadows on the left to highlights on the right. The height of the histogram at any point indicates whether there are few or many pixels at each lightness value. A high contrast image will have both light and dark pixels.

2. In order for the image to have colors across the entire brightness range, drag the left (dark) and right (light) triangles for the Input Levels inward to where the histogram indicates the darkest and lightest colors begin.
3. Click OK to apply the changes.
