Windows Media Player has two modes: Full Mode and Compact Mode. Full Mode is the non-customized view of the player. All functionality is available in Full Mode including some features that are not available in Compact Mode. For example, in Full Mode you can use Media Guide, Media Library, Radio Tuner, Portable Device, and Skin Chooser. In Compact Mode, the player uses the selected skin and has all the functionality that the skin allows. The player also takes on the customized look of the skin which can be practically anything.
