Before you install:

If you have DPWeb 1.1 installed on your Palm VII, we recommend deleting it before installing 2.2. To do this follow these steps:

• Press the application button on the Palm VII ().
• Press the menu button directly below the application button ().
• Select "Delete" from the App menu.
• Select DPWeb from the menu, and click "Delete"

If you are upgrading from DPWeb 2.0, then you do not need to delete your previous version, and doing so will delete any bookmarks that you may have saved.

Installing DPWeb 2.2

To install DPWeb 2.2, launch the "Install Tool" that came with your Palm Desktop software. Select your user profile from the drop-down box then press the "Add" button. Browse to and select the DPWeb.prc file. Press "Done," then run a hot synch operation on your Palm VII.

Placing DPWeb into the Palm.Net category

When DPWeb 2.2 installs, it may initially appear under the "unfiled" category in the system application launcher. We recommend moving it into the "Palm.Net" category for the easiest access. To do this, follow these steps:

• Press the application button on the Palm VII ().
• Press the menu button directly below the application button ().
• Select "Category" from the App menu.
• Change the category for DPWeb to "Palm.Net"

Choosing Between Basic and Deluxe

The first time that you run DPWeb, you will be asked whether you wish to use Basic or Deluxe. Basic is a free service and allows you basic access to standard web sites. Upgrading to Deluxe enables the following features:

• SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
• Cookie Support
• Bookmarking
• Advanced Search Capabilities

Upgrading to Deluxe requires a one time registration fee. Check our website at www.DigitalPaths.com for current pricing information. If you decide to upgrade, you may do so from within the program, or you may register by visiting our web site.
