Troubleshooting

I get strange "Currency not updated" message during update. Also, some of my currencies are not updated (displaying a !-icon and warning). Why ?

Handwise Valuta gives a warning each time a currency cannot be updated from the server. The reason may be a problem with the server. Also, any currency you have defined yourself cannot be updated from the server. These are also marked with warning.
My desktop updates won't work. Nothing happens.
Check your Internet connection first. If it doesn't help, check that your desktop PC is not behind a firewall. If there's still no effect, try installing conduit again.
My desktop machine is behind a firewall. I get errors while trying to update currencies during HotSync.
Handwise Valuta conduit and updater plugin uses TCP/IP port 26667. Ask your system administrator to provide access on that port through your firewall.
My mobile update won't work.
Check first that your handheld's network and modem settings are correct. If you can get the connection to the Internet and operate other applications without problems, the problem is in Handwise Valuta server. It should be temporary failure, so try again later.
I get a "Fatal Error" dialog while beaming currencies or updating currency database. The dialog asks me to refer to this documentation. What is going on?
Your application database has propably been corrupted by a system crash. You should exit the application immediately and remove Handwise Valuta using Launcher's Delete command. Reinstall Handwise Valuta using HotSync Install tool.
I constantly get a "Unknown Error" dialog while working with Handwise Valuta. What is wrong?
You have found a bug in Handwise Valuta and catched an unhandled error. Please write down the error code displayed in the error message. Please contact support@handwise.com and describe your hardware/software configuration and the situation in which the error occured.
I have changed my Palm user name. When I start Handwise Valuta, I get an error message dialog that prevents me to run the application. How should I proceed?
Contact support@handwise.com and provide your Handwise Valuta license key, previous Palm user name and the new Palm user name (or the RegCode displayed in the register dialog) and we will generate a new license key to you. Palm license keys are bound to a certain Palm user name (HotSync name), an changing the name causes license check to fail. If you are using any updater plugin on your Palm, specify also which one and its license key at the same.
