BaseLine.exe is a windows 95 / 98 / 2000 program that compares every food you eat to every symptom you have and prints the sorted result's for your Doctor. The Baseline program attempts to identify Eersonal Environmental Toxin's (PET's). I call the results Environmental Art.
If you are in good medical shape, or so your Doctor says, but you have a few
irritating symptoms (such as headaches, mouth ulcers, weight gain, etc...) that
have been occuring for several or more years and you don't mind a bit of work,
then try the BaseLine program. BaseLine does not have a medical background but
was made from a mixture of ideas from Environmental Chemistry, Neural Networks,
Complex systems (Complexity), Statistics and Pyschology.
This web page is
dedicated to the BaseLine program which takes a text file of your foods and
symptoms and produces a printout of your environmental frustration level for
each food compared to each symptom. The new BaseLine Version 2 program has a
freeware composer that helps create the Environmental Record file, with a clickable list
of the top 50 foods you have eaten.
This is not a new form of alternative
medicine. It is only a very simple method of data collection with a unique style
of presentation. I hope that it is useful.
The environmental
frustration levels are calculated by rating all foods eaten within three days of
any symptom. These ratings are then normalized and presented in sorted order. A
low frustration level means the food was not often eaten before a symptom. A
high frustration level means the food was often eaten before a symptom.
A few very important tips:
If you don't record it, it can't be measured.
If you eat or do the same thing every day the results will not be as
interesting as if you occassionally change your habits.
Do not list your data when trying to break a habit, (such as quitting coffee) take three days to a week off to give your
body chance to physically recover.
This very useful web page takes the irritation out of recording most of
your xFood data. Using buttons for foods you often eat, this page allows
accurate entry of your daily food intake. Version 2 of BaseLine has a composer that is
much easier to use!
A suggestion is to bookmark this page
and to try writing the environmental text file for one week. If you can
accomplish one week of record keeping then maybe the BaseLine program is for
you. Remember that the program needs you to record your data for a full three
months for it to be even slightly relevant. If you can't last a week, maybe
you should wait till you are more focused. Note: The new composer in BaseLine Version 2
makes this process very easy with automatic recall of your Environmental Record File and single
click food entry of your top 48 foods.
