Introduction

Music Library - Manage your music collection has never been so easy!

Music Library is a program can help you manage and organize you music collections
such as MP3s, audio CDs or tapes, etc. Music library is not just another playlister.
It's actually multiple programs in one. For MP3s, it's a mp3 file explorer, a mass
rename utility, a mass ID3 tag editor, an audio CD composer, a Winamp front end,
a playlist maker, a cover image viewer and a professional report creator. You will find
it has almost all features in other popular programs. That's not all, Music Library allows
you to catalog any other music collection you have, such as audio CDs, tapes.
Music Library is a CDDB-Enabled software, you can download CD in formation such as
artist, title, album, track from their huge database. There is even more. Music Library
comes with a cool stand alone CD Player! Associate it with you database, insert a
disc, it will detect and display what you are listening to automatically!

Track every single piece of music you have with one database! With it's powerful

Features

MP3 Explorer:
1. Support mpeg 1.0 and 2.0, id3 v1.0 and 2.0
2. Support Xing VBR.
3. Batch renaming and tagging, use file name to write tag or tag to rename file.
    User defined rename template.
4. Create folders, move, copy and delete files within the program.
5. Export and import  ".dbv" file. So other people can view your database just
    like the files are on their own computers.
6. Compare two databases. So you can create a wanted list in seconds and save
    it as a playlist file. This feature is great for trading. When the other person open the
    playlist file, he knows exactly where every single track is located at. No need to search.
7. Update all your hard drives with a single mouse click.
8. Super fast search and duplicates finding (Locate 100 duplicates in a database
    with 8000 records within just 7 seconds). Determine duplicates by file name, size and
    id3 tags.
9. Catalog files on your CD and other removable media.
10. Track rating system. Rate songs so you can select them by rating when create
     playlists.
11. Attach cover images to albums. All you need to do is associate the image with one
     of the tracks in the album. Auto size image when adjusting pane width. View image with
     a separate image viewer if you like.
12. Millions of ways to select songs for your playlist (By rating, location, search, etc.).
13. Explorer like interface, show files by location (Drive/Folder), by album(Artist - Album),
    by artists(Artist/Album) or by genre(Genre/Artist/Album).
14. Audio CD Composer allows you to locate and select songs to make audio CDs.
15. Create professional style reports in ASCI text and HTML. Generate lists with any fields
     and order. Multiple page option for long Html lists, with page links and "Previous" and "Next"
     links, so you can navigate through the pages easily.
16. Winamp front end control.
17. Also support any players that support "mp3" and "m3u".

Audio Explorer:
1. CDDB2 support, no need for typing. Retrieve disc information from the newest CDDB2
    database. Contribute and submit information to the database.
2. Attach MP3 to CD tracks so you can listen to them without the CD.
3. Catalog any media types.
4. View tracks by album, by artist or by genre.
3. Comment field for album and track.
4. Record miscellaneous information such as storage location, cost and current value, etc.
5. Fully featured stand alone CD Player, can automatically detect and display CD info in
   your database. Different display mode, normal mode, control bar mode and detail list mode.
   Rate tracks while you are listening to your favorite CDs!  Show detail track info and cover
   image. And many more.... More features to be added too.
6. To catalog your home made CDs, all you need to do is open the playlist (".m3u"), all fields
    will be filled automatically.

Installation and System Requirement

Installation:
To install Music Library, simply unzip the "zip" file to a temp directory. Then run
"Setup.exe" and follow instructions.

To uninstall Music Library, go to Windows' Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs.
Follow instructions.

System Requirement:
Operating system: Win95/Win98/NT
CPU: Pentium or better
Memory: 32 mb recommended.
Hard drive: 10 mb for program files and database.
Screen Resolution: 800X600, high color or better.
Other: Internet connection (for CDDB).

Quick Start

To catalog MP3 files:
From menu, select File / Add Volume then select drive or folder to scan. Or you can
simply select File / Update All, program will scan all hard drives automatically.
After scan, select File / Save Database to save the database.

To catalog audio CDs:
Switch to "Audio Explorer" tab, from menu select Audio / Add. The "Album Info Editor" window
will show up. Insert CD, then click on "Get Toc" button to calculate Toc. Click the "Disc
Info" button to connect to CDDB database. (You must have a live internet connection, if
not, connect to the internet first.). If query is successful, the " CDDB Disc Information"
window will show up. Click "Accept" button to enter the tracks. If there are multiple
matches, there "Multiple Match" window will show up. Select one from the list, and click
on "Accept Match" button to get the disc information. Sometimes it seems like nothing
is happening, please wait till it finish. Click on "Add to Database" button to enter the
album.

Note: The first time you query CDDB. You will be asked to register CDDB service.
Follow the screens for a “New Registration” to select a “nickname” and password.  The
remaining information is optional, but does help CDDB provide better service. The CDDB
service is FREE to end users.
