Unzipping WINPM201.ZIP produces three files: WINPMAIL.ZIP, a copy of this message, and WGUIDE.EXE (the online guide). To install Pegasus Mail v2.01, follow these steps (the examples assume that you are installing to C:\PMAIL).
1: Run WGUIDE.EXE and read its contents thoroughly (VERY IMPORTANT!!) 2: Create the directory where you would like to install WinPMail - example: MKDIR C:\PMAIL 3: Copy WINPMAIL.ZIP into that directory - example: COPY WINPMAIL.ZIP C:\PMAIL 4: CD to that directory - example: C:<Enter> CD \PMAIL 5: Issue the command PKUNZIP -d WINPMAIL
This procedure will create a directory structure with everything in the right place. Next, run Windows and create a program item in the Program Manager which executes WINPMAIL.EXE. - example: C:\PMAIL\WINPMAIL
