  2.                   KnowledgePro (Windows) Demonstration System

  6.   INSTALLATION

  9.         To read this file, you must have downloaded and un-archived 
  10.         the file KPWINDEM.ARC.  
  11.  
  12.         You will need to download and un-archive KPWINRUN.ARC as well.
  13.  
  14.         Once all files are un-archived and copied to the directory of
  15.         your choice, complete installation by running INSTALL.BAT, 
  16.         which will simply add a line to your WIN.INI file.  The syntax 
  17.         to run INSTALL from a DOS prompt is
  18.         
  19.            install <windows directory> <kpwin demo directory>
  20.  
  21.         for example,
  22.  
  23.            install c:\windows c:\kpwin
  24.  
  25.         will add a line to the C:\WINDOWS\WIN.INI file, telling
  26.         Windows that a file with a CKB extension is a compiled 
  27.         KPWIN application, and should be run using the KnowledgePro
  28.         (Windows) runtime.
  29.  
  30.         If you prefer to modify your WIN.INI file manually,
  31.         add the line
  32.  
  33.                 ckb=<KPWIN directory>\kpwinrun.exe ^.ckb
  34.  
  35.         to the [extensions] section.  You can also use the Windows
  36.         file manager to Associate the CKB extension with
  37.         KPWINRUN.EXE.
  38.  
  39.         Once the WIN.INI file has been modified, you are ready 
  40.         to run the KnowledgePro (Windows) demonstration system.  
  41.         To do so, type WIN DEMO.CKB from a DOS prompt, or
  42.         in Windows, simply run DEMO.CKB from the program manager
  43.         or file manager.

  45.         If you are running Windows 3, you can install the KPWIN icon
  46.         to the program manager by running the KPWIN application
  47.         SETICOND.HKB.
