  1. ROM hardware password single-user

  3. Q:  Why won't the system accept the hardware password when booting single-user?  I know I'm typing the same password that I originally set.

  5. A:  The ROM password only has 6 characters.  You may enter more when setting the ROM password, but only 6 are stored.  However, when you boot single-user and it asks for the password, it will complain if you type more than 6.  Just type the first 6 characters and all should be fine.
