Q: Why can't I paste graphics from Draw into a Mathematica notebook?\

A: This is possible in 1.0, but it doesn't happen automatically. In the future, Mathematica will support this functionality in a transparent manner. In the meantime, try this workaround, which may require Postscript programming:\

(1) Paste the graphics in as text (Postscript code). For example, create a new cell, type a character and backspace over it, then paste. You should then see the Postscript code.\
(2) Select this cell.\
(3) Choose "Postscript" from the Cell menu.\
(4) Choose "Formatted" from the Cell menu. It's very important to do steps 3 and 4 in this order, otherwise it tries to format the Postscript as if it were Mathematica input form text.\
(5) Click the body of the cell (not the bracket) to display the graphic. You may have to drag on the bounding box handles, making the rectangle larger, to find the image.\
(5) If the image isn't in the right place, or the bounding box needs to be changed, edit the Postscript code as necessary, by choosing "Formatted" again to redisplay the code. In 1.0, you can't graphically rescale the image -- you need adding scale and/or translate commands to the code. You have to make the bounding box the right size manually, as well. \
