  8. Q:  When I start up Digital Librarian, the well where the target icons usually are (Shakespeare, UNIX manuals, etc.) is empty.  What's wrong?  How do I fix this?\

A:  The file that specifies the targets may be corrupted.  Look in the .NeXT/targets subdirectory of your home directory.  It should contain a file called Targets1.0.  If this is corrupted, you should quit Digital Librarian, delete the file, and then restart Librarian.  Librarian will create a default targets file for you, and you will now have the standard targets in the well: Release Notes, NeXT Manuals, UNIX Manual Pages, and Shakespeare.\
