  49. MergeFax 1.0 is an add-on program that allows you to mail-merge
  50. group fax hundreds of PERSONALIZED faxes with Word for Windows 6.0
  51. and WinFax PRO 3.0 (and WinFax PRO for Networks)--all with one
  52. simple keystroke.

  54. MergeFax is one of those rare programs that will save you and your
  55. employees hours of time. Plus, the date and time scheduling features
  56. alone will save you big bucks by allowing you to schedule your faxes
  57. late at night when the rates are dirt cheap.

  59. Before the creation of MergeFax, the best you could do was "group
  60. fax" the same document to everyone. Ex: "Dear Customer, thank you for
  61. your interest in Ski Chalet products."

  63. The power of MergeFax is that it allows you to use Word for Windows
  64. 6.0's awesome mail-merge features to group fax PERSONALIZED faxes to
  65. each individual. Ex: "Dear Jim, thank you for your interest in our
  66. winter ski product line." "Dear Joe, thank you for your interest in
  67. our arrow ski downhill racers." Etc.

  69. MergeFax-ing is as simple as these 2 steps:
  70. 1. Set up your mail-merge main document.
  71. 2. Hit Alt-M and START.

  73. HereÆs how it works:

  75. 1) MergeFax automatically merges each data record, scans the document
  76. to find the recipientÆs name and fax number, and then (using DDE) passes
  77. this information over to WinFax PRO.

  79. 2) MergeFax queues up all the faxes in WinFax PRO's event list--either
  80. to be sent immediately or scheduled for a later date and time.

  82. 3) MergeFax automatically sets the fax driver and resets the printer
  83. driver for you--so you donÆt have to fiddle with driver settings. You
  84. just hit Alt-M and Start, and MergeFax takes care of everything else.

  86. 4) MergeFax does all this in minutes! On a 486-66 machine, MergeFax
  87. queues up WinFax PRO's event list with 100 faxes in 5 minutes!

  96. all files unaltered.

  101. When distributing MergeFax, the following files must be distributed

  110. Disk Vendors, Shareware Distributors and BBS(s) may charge a nominal
  111. fee for distribution of the program. But the recipient of MergeFax must
  112. be informed in advance, that the fee paid to acquiring MergeFax does not
  113. relieve the recipient from purchasing a License for use of MergeFax if
  114. the recipient continues to use MergeFax after the trial period.
