********************** THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT ************************
Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before
buying it. Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial
software, and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few
specific exceptions as stated in the documentation. Shareware
authors are accomplished programmers, just as commercial authors are,
and the programs are of comparable quality. (In both cases, there
are good programs and bad ones --- the shareware distribution method
allows you to try a program before you buy it, and so weed out the
bad ones. Commercial distribution doesn't allow for this.) The main
difference is the method of distribution. Shareware is a
distribution method, not a type of software.
