  1. These programs MUST be installed in directories as follows:

  13.      │

  16. The ARCed versions will automatically set up these directories and put the
  17. correct files in the correct directories. Make sure that you do not have an
  18. existing directory named KB0ZP. C:\KB0ZP\LOG\CONTESTS is created, when needed,
  19. by the KB0ZPLOG.EXE program.
  20.  
  21. The files MUST be distributed in the directories as follows:

  23. C:\KB0ZP
  24.     This directory contains a few "easy start" batch files and this file.
  25.     It really exists to create a unique directory which would not conflict 
  26.     with anything you might already have. Use the batch files to start any
  27.     of the three programs.

  29. C:\KB0ZP\DOCS
  30.     This is where all the .TXT files are kept. These may be printed out by
  31.     any wordprocessor or text editor you may have. Or, you can use the
  32.     KB0ZPUTL program and it will print them for you.

  34. C:\KB0ZP\LOG
  35.     KB0ZPLOG.EXE   Main Contesting Program. This program is where all the
  36.     action takes place. It creates the data base which is used by the
  37.     REPORT program to make the reports for award submissions.
  38.  
  39.     All HELP screens. HELP01 etc. are text files and used by the 
  40.     KB0ZPLOG.EXE program when needed.

  42.     S.BAT   An easy starting batch file. From this directory type 's'
  43.     <ENTER> and the program will start.

  45. C:\KB0ZP\LOG\CONTESTS
  46.     This directory is empty to begin with. It has been created to contain 
  47.     all the contest data. However, you may specify any directory you wish 
  48.     from within the program. This is the default. Remove the data from this 
  49.     directory after the contest to a floppy disk or another directory or it 
  50.     will be overwritten by the next contest. Label the floppy or directory
  51.     to indicate the contest name and date. ie. FLDDAY95, CQPRE94, SWEEPS99, 
  52.     etc. and file for safe-keeping. In a few years you will create a 
  53.     library of your contest activity and will be able to recreate all the
  54.     original reports.

  56. C:\KB0ZP\RPT
  57.     KB0ZPRPT.EXE   Main Report Program. All reports will be made by this
  58.     program. You must first run the printer set up option which is found
  59.     in the UTILITY program.

  61.     KB0ZPCON.FIG   This file will contain all the configuration information 
  62.     for your printer. You create this file from the KB0ZPUTL.EXE program.

  64.     S.BAT   An easy starting batch file. From this directory type 's'
  65.     <ENTER> and the program will start.

  67. C:\KB0ZP\UTL
  68.     KB0ZPUTL.EXE   Main Utility Program. Different utilities and set ups
  69.     are found here. This file also helps in the printing of all the docs
  70.     and other printed aids available.

  72.     Many .TXT files. These text files are the actual docs available.

  77. NOTE: The Users Guides which are distributed with these programs are to be used
  78. as a guide only. I am now in the process of putting "context sensitive" help
  79. screens where necessary, thereby eliminating a Users Guide, which is never read
  80. anyway. These help screens are activated by pressing F1 when needed.
