  9.         I have seen several adds in the paper lately for "2-way" radios for
  10.  sale at Bell Mobility Cellular stores. I called to check on this and found
  11.  that BMC is selling Motorola ht's at their stores. They are 2 watt UHF
  12.  synthesized radios and they come pre-programmed for a LPU frequency. The
  13.  licensing is on the "honour" system, meaning that there is an application
  14.  enclosed with the radios. they sell for 599 a pair without pl tone and 699
  15.  with.  The only problem is that these are commercial radios and yet the ads
  16.  in the paper bill these radios as "great for use while hiking, skiing, or
  17.  hanging around at the cottage". Is it just me or does anyone else see a
  18.  problem with this? Lately there have been lots of problems in the US with
  19.  similar type radios (also on nation wide standard LPU frequencies in the
  20.  VHF band) because everyone sells these portables but very few of them end
  21.  up being licensed... By the way, if anyone knows what frequency these
  22.  radios use that Bell is selling, I would like to know it...might make for
  23.  interesting listening next summer up north at the cottage!
