  11. The Cuban Amateur Radio community has invited American amateurs to
  12. participate in a joint operation with Cuban amateurs in the 1994
  13. ARRL June VHF QSO Party.
  14.  
  15. ARRL Oklahoma Section Manager Joe Lynch, N6CL, was invited to lead
  16. the group, during a visit to Cuba the week of February 7.  The
  17. operation would take place from Bellomonte.  Officials of the
  18. Federacion Radioaficionados de Cuba (FRC) said they also have taken
  19. under consideration a proposal from an American group for a joint
  20. operation from Cuba on the HF bands in 1995.

  22. Lynch, in Cuba for a week as a member of a Methodist Church work
  23. team, extended greetings from ARRL officials, presented FRC
  24. President Ing. Pedro Rodriguez, CO2RP, with a certificate of
  25. participation for the June 1993 ARRL VHF QSO Party, and also
  26. presented an author's certificate to Arne Coro, CO2KK, for his
  27. article in December 1993 QST.

  29. Lynch's informal meetings with FRC officials were publicized on
  30. radio, television, and in the print media.

  32. Joe Lynch is VHF editor of CQ Magazine and also is editor of the
  33. QCWA Journal.
