  6.               The above file contains the names of 73 witnesses
  7.     to marriages that took place in YORKSHIRE U.K. See the files
  8.     UKWITERY.ZIP, UKWITNRY.ZIP & UKWITWRY.ZIP for the ridings of
  9.     Yorkshire.

  11.               It is a text file and can be copied to your printer by
  12.     giving the DOS command UKWITxxx.TXT PRN. Where xxx stands for the
  13.     Chapman County Code for the County file concerned.

  15.               Alternatively if searching the file for your names, you
  16.     would do best to use one of the Commercial / Public Domain programs
  17.     such as TS.COM or LIST.COM as each entry has three different names in
  18.     it. Alternatively use your own wordprocessor program to view the
  19.     file and use that program's search facility to look for your names.

  21.               If you find an entry of interest to you and if you decide to
  22.     write to the person who submitted that entry, please remember to write
  23.     that you found their name and address in the UK Marriage Witness
  24.     Index.

  27.     hobby, the more information that YOU send about YOUR family, the more
  28.     information you are likely to receive in return. And don't forget to
  29.     include IRC's, mint stamps or a bank note to cover the return postage.
