  3.                        New in Thesaur Plus for v2.0
  4.                              and Thesaur v4.0

  9. WORDS
  10. * - 20,000 more words  - Total Close to 50,000 as of this version
  11. * - Listing of synonyms changed to allow for up to 40 synonyms per word
  12.   - New data file format to allow for greater flexibility/more words/
  13.        and smaller size.
  14.   - Now, two files are used, a Data file and an Index file.
  15.        These two files together are about the same size as the previous
  16.        Data file (smaller actually), but hold 20,000 more words!

  19. THESPLUS.EXE
  20.   - This program is now 8k smaller.
  21. * - Memory Requirements lowered by 7-8K of RAM - Currently needs 73k of RAM
  22.        Can still use Diskswapping if you want, or EMS if available to
  23.        reduce RAM requirements to 10k.
  24. * - No longer is a SET THESPLUS= required to tell Thesaur Plus the Data file
  25.        directory - it now automatically figures out the drive and directory
  26. * - When a word is not found, a screen informing you of the fact, and asking
  27.        whether you want to try another word or quit is used instead of just
  28.        displaying the closest word (often unrelated)
  29. * - Graphics Screens (CGA) are now supported with the /CGA command line switch
  30.        Note: Adds 16k to memory requirements.  EGA and VGA graphic screens are
  31.              not supported at this time.
  32.   - The Cross Reference has been removed for the time being.  The New data
  33.        format accomplishes much the same thing, and by using Alternate Word,
  34.        Backtrack you still have easy access to all the information

  37. CONFIG.EXE   (Previous file name was INSTALL.EXE)
  38.   - The Configuration/install program is now only 12k.
  39.   - This program no longer will copy the files for you - this
  40.        is a simple thing, and the space was needed for new features
  41.        and THESAUR.EXE
  42. * - This program no longer creates a batch file on C:\ to install
  43.        ThesPlus - All that is needed is to run the .EXE (and add any command
  44.        line options you want)
  45. * - Can now be used to Configure Thesaur Plus even if you don't have a hard
  46.        drive as C:
  47.   - Note: This program modifies THESPLUS.EXE

  49. THESAUR.EXE
  50. * - Both of my thesaurus' have now been included on the same disk.
  51.     This disk now contains THESAUR in addition to THESAUR PLUS.
  52.         This program allows you to add and delete synonyms from the data file.
  53.         Works like ThesPlus.Exe but is not memory resident, and has
  54.         added features.
  55.   - Ability to add any synonym to the data file.
  56.   - Ability to delete synonyms - Poof
  57.   - Faster than ThesPlus.Exe (Uses more memory to store word
  58.        locations)
  59.   - Same commands exactly - you already know how to use it.

  61.     -->  Replaces all previous versions of THESAUR

  63. SUPPORT
  64.   - Another new place to reach me has been made available -  I can now be
  65.        reached via InterLink as Derrick Burgess in the Shareware Conference.
  66.   - A new place to discuss shareware and hosted by the ASP has just been opened
  67.        on CIS - GO SHAREWARE - I'll be there!
  68.   - You can now get a Shareware version directly from me for $6 - OR you can
  69.        send a Self Addressed Stamped Diskette Mailer and Disk, and I'll send
  70.        you the shareware version free.  ($5 of the $6 can be applied to
  71.        registration later if you go that way)
  72.   - Documentation re-written to correspond to changes in ThesPlus.Exe

  74. REGISTRATION
  75.   - Still only $20......  and now covers both Thesaur Plus AND Thesaur 
  76.        With 2.0 I hope that you are satisfied (for awhile) - if you are
  77.        a registered user, this is what your support has made possible,
  78.        if you are still considering registering, or this is your first
  79.        exposure to Thesaur Plus - Enjoy the current version, and
  80.        hopefully you will help support future advancements in Thesaur 
  81.        Plus because I *DO* support it myself.

  83.   - Phone support has been added for ALL users, registered or not.
  84.        I will not turn you away if you are not registered (I never
  85.        have though).  The only catch, is that I am not always
  86.        available, and the best time to catch me is in the evenings
  87.        on the days of Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday....You can
  88.        try at other times and I *Might* be there.  That's PST for
  89.        those interested.....(The number is 818-347-2910 for those
  90.        that understood the above <Grin>)
