He then¢ distributed a change of email address¢ for Patrick Mulvey:¢¢ pmulvey@clarityconnect.com.¢¢ ALAN SHARKIS then dicussed the need¢ to create .ATR files very soon. He¢ then showed the members a page set up¢ with fonts which appear the same as¢ Atari screen fonts.¢¢ TREASURY REPORT¢¢ We are in the black. Also, we have a¢ new member from India named B.¢ Kesavan from Bombay, India, who¢ requested some disks. Harold is¢ working on the library list and hopes¢ it will be completed very shortly. A¢ visitor named Steve was at the¢ meeting. He is interested in¢ joining.¢¢ DEMONSTRATIONS:¢¢ RON FETZER demoed an ABBUC disk Sonda¢ Magazine #25 (Special Edition)¢ Herbert II one game with music. On¢ October 30 in Germany they are having¢ a party. ¢¢ ALAN SHARKIS demoed the Newsletter.¢ JOE LEBER mentioned that the¢ newsletter's welcome screen contains¢ the words,"strictly 8bit." ALAN¢ showed a demo written in listable¢ Atari BASIC from ATREJU's website¢ with colorful movement and music. The¢ visitor, Steve, was very interested¢ in what he saw and asked some¢ questions. He then inquired how to¢ join the club. ALAN went on to say ¢ that the Atari has been going on for¢ 20 years now. The Newsletter¢ contains a list of URL's that are¢ Atari 8-bit-oriented. He also¢ mentioned some articles written by¢ Joe Hicswa and some other articles¢ that are in the Newsletter. He¢ showed two games from 1982. Then we¢ went to side 2 of the Newsletter and¢ ALAN read a list of tasks you can¢ accomplish using the BUSNES.BAS¢ program.¢¢ The next meeting will be October 30¢ at the Plainview-Old Bethpage¢ Library.¢¢ There were no door prizes but ALAN¢ SHARKIS brought in equipment and¢ literature instead for the members to¢ take freely.¢¢¢ o=o=o=o=o=¢¢¢
