Look¢ for the Library listing from # 116¢ to about #133.¢ ¢ I want to specifically thank:¢ ROWLAND GRANT of GARDEN CITY ACE, in¢ Victoria, Canada, ROBERT BUMAN of¢ S.A.G.E. OF ERIE PA, BRUCE WILLIS of¢ M.A.G.I.C. Des Moines, IA, and JOHN¢ KASUPSKI of W.N.Y.A.U.G., Buffalo NY¢ all of whom have helped and offered¢ to continue to help spread the word¢ for the 8 BIT. each of them are hard¢ working officers of their respective¢ clubs and with whom I have developed¢ a working pen pal relationship while¢ exchanging ATARI related information¢ These men and others like them are¢ the backbone of the CLASSIC 8 BIT as¢ its called. There are so many others¢ that deserve praise whom I have not¢ mentioned but you basically know who¢ this stubborn group of 8BITters are,¢ I'm sure.¢ ¢ I am very proud of the many kind¢ references to the OL' HACKERS ATARI¢ USERS GROUP, Inc. that I have read¢ in many newsletters and you can rest¢ assured that our members will conti-¢ nue to fight the good fight and keep¢ the 8 BIT ATARI alive, by doing all¢ they can. Some while ago one of our¢ members, RON FETZER, put together 3 ¢ disks, and at his own expense, made¢ about 50 sets and mailed them out to¢ clubs, for $7.00 to the OL' HACKERS¢ or FREE, if the club couldn't afford¢ the $7.00 just to help keep the 8BIT¢ fire burning. Recently RON and STAN¢ SCHENFELD collaborated on a new two¢ disk set Program called DISK MANAGE-¢ MENT SYSTEM, which has been reviewed¢ favorably in A.I.M. magazine, and is¢ sold for $6.00 in the U.S.A..¢ ¢ As further proof of our clubs¢ reputation here are some quotes from¢ a letter from ENGLAND: "May I first¢ congratulate you and your club for¢ the great support you give the ATARI¢ 8 BIT computer. I help run a small 8¢ BIT club here in NEWCASTLE, ENGLAND¢ which has been in existence for over¢ 9 years." and "There are two reasons¢ why I am writing to you, firstly my-¢ self and 2 other club members would¢ like to join your very active group¢ because we like whatwe have read and¢ seen of your newsletters etc." All I¢ can say, is THANKS for wanting to be¢ a part ofthe OL'HACKERS and for your¢ kind words D.E.-I could go on giving¢ praise to each and every one of the¢ club members for their constant eff-¢ orts to always make us a better club¢ but you get the idea, I'm sure.¢ ¢ Please remember, that when one¢ gets involved in club activities its¢ REWARDING and its a way to LEARN and¢ also FUN.
