They were joined, in many¢ cases, by their wives and other¢ family members. Also on hand was¢ PATRICK MULVEY, President of our¢ sister user group, LIAUG. Pat and I¢ shared some interesting conversation,¢ as did the other attendees.¢¢ The 2nd upcoming NEAR*US meeting¢ on March 11 at the OL'HACKERS meeting¢ place was one of the items discussed.¢ There is, indeed, cause for optimism¢ that this umbrella organization would¢ find renewed purposeand effectiveness¢ at the March meeting.¢¢ Our meal was up tothe usual high¢ standards we have come to expect. To¢ add to our enjoyment, a raffle was¢ held. Winners were HAROLD PEGLER,¢ CATHY FETZER (RON'S wife), CARRIE¢ ATKINS (Allen's wife), and ALEX's¢ son-in-law, JOHN CESIRO¢¢ JACK GEDALIUS, our photographer,¢ as usual, videotaped the entire¢ proceedings. These included a brief¢ speech by ALEX PIGNATO, who told¢ us that he had a double reason to¢ celebrate; his birthday was coming¢ up the next day. We all wished Alex¢ a happy birthday & continued success¢ as president of what we feel is one¢ of the finest 8-bit user groups in¢ the world.¢¢ Toward the end of the meeting,¢ all of the attendees said that they¢ had enjoyed the dinner and that they¢ wished that it be repeated next¢ February. ¢¢ *+*+*+*+*+*+*+* end *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*¢¢
