The line has been¢ disconnected in Jim Harris' house¢ because he moving to Massachusetts in¢ a couple of weeks. When it is¢ connected the new number will be at¢ Pat Mulvey's house and will be 516-¢ 783-4634 in Wantagh, NY. ¢¢ Topic three ALAN brought up was an¢ article he showed about people who¢ use old computers which was printed¢ for the second month in a row, the¢ article is several pages long.¢¢ ALAN'S fourth topic was presented as¢ a disk from John Powell along with a¢ letter which ALAN read to the club¢ members which included a change of¢ address as follows:¢¢ JOHN POWELL¢ 5301 Gaston Ave #D¢ Dallas, Tx¢¢ The fifth topic ALAN discussed was a¢ BBS list circa 1989 with about 18 or¢ 19 BBS's six of which are not Atari¢ BBS's but supported Atari compters to¢ some degree. If anyone is interested¢ the list is available.¢¢ A discussion about Jim Harris¢ included mention of his temporary¢ home in Massachusetts where the club¢ members would like to send him a card¢ for his wife, a good luck card.¢¢ HAROLD Pegler stated that the¢ forthcoming library disk is bigger¢ than he expected, and therefore¢ taking longer to produce. It should ¢ be available at the next meeting.¢¢ JACK GEDALIUS noted $100 was spent¢ this month mostly on stamps and¢ Minutes. HARRY mentioned the dues¢ are due.¢¢ DEMONSTRATIONS:¢¢ AL has some files that are on the¢ Newsletter disk and JACK has a few¢ disks HAROLD gave him to demo.¢¢ DEMONSTRATIONS:¢¢ The first demonstration by AL SHARKIS¢ was of the Ol' Hackers disk of¢ Nov/Dec issue, the program was" Bob's¢ Land" which is a terrific graphic¢ program and three dimensional. The¢ next one is called "Druid" and it's a¢ still picture. After this there was¢ a game called "Rocket Man". You're¢ limited in your left and right¢ movement on this and it looks like we¢ have to pick up all the dots before¢ we go to the next screen. Then we¢ played another game called "Skull¢ Island". ¢¢ JACK then brought out a disk #57 from¢ Bellcom with graphics and other demos¢ on it (Library disk #660). It's a¢ game with graphics and the moon, a¢ demo, no control, just shows¢ different graphics such as earth, the¢ moon, a radar telescope with things¢ moving around on the moon's surface. ¢¢¢ Next is a GTIA demo by Jerry White¢ who wrote many programs for Atari. ¢ This is a program with many different¢ graphics, including one with a¢ beautiful design on doilies. ¢¢ Then we demonstrated a program called¢ "Red Hole", a program that goes into¢ a vortex. Then came a program called¢ "Q", a game for children. Then a¢ program called "One Life". Also¢ there was a program called "Birthday¢ Cake," which plays "Happy Bithday to¢ You"; PAT MULVEY mentioned that Paul¢ McCartney now has the rights to the¢ song.¢¢ JACK GEDALIUS called the door prizes¢ and this was the first time in the¢ history of the club that HARRY¢ TUTHILL did not win a door prize.¢¢ Next meeting will be December 21,¢ 1996.¢¢ End of November 9th minutes.¢¢ o-o-o-o-o¢¢
