  3. Mail Manager Help File

  6. You have sent a command to the Mail Manager that could not be
  7. understood. The default Mail Manager account is mail@domain.name,
  8. where domain.name is the domain name of the account you want to set a
  9. message for. The following commands are available to you:
  10.  
  11. Setting a Holiday Message
  12. -------------------------
  13. To set a Holiday Message you will need to send an email message with
  14. the following contents to the Mail Manager:
  15.  
  16.     holiday <username>
  17.     password <password>
  18.     (blank line)
  19.     Message Text
  20.  
  21. For example:
  22.  
  23.     holiday brian
  24.     password sssh
  25.  
  26.     I'm on holiday at the moment and will contact you on my return.
  27.  
  28. will result in anyone sending an email to brian@domain.name receiving
  29. an automatic reply that reads "I'm on holiday at the moment and will
  30. contact you on my return.

  32. Removing a Holiday Message
  33. --------------------------
  34. To remove a Holiday Message you will need to send an email message
  35. with the following contents to the Mail Manager:
  36.  
  37.     noholiday <username>
  38.     password <password>
  39.  
  40. Setting a Plan Message
  41. ----------------------
  42. To set a Plan Message you will need to send an email message with the
  43. following contents to the Mail Manager:
  44.  
  45.     plan <username>
  46.     password <password>
  47.     (blank line)
  48.     Plan Text

  50. For example:

  52.     plan brian
  53.     password sssh
  54.  
  55.     This is my email account.

  57. Provided the Finger Server is enabled this will result in anyone
  58. fingering brian@domain.name receiving an automatic reply that returns
  59. the text "This is my email account.", along with details of the
  60. number of email messages held in the account, both read and unread.

  62. Removing a Plan Message
  63. ----------------------
  64. To remove a Plan Message you will need to send an email message with
  65. the following contents to the Mail Manager:
  66.  
  67.     plan <username>
  68.     password <password>
  69.  
  70. If the Finger Server is enabled this will display details of the
  71. number of email messages held in the account, both read and unread,
  72. but no text will be added to the display.
