Alkonost ContraCopy is a professional software system, that can create diskettes for a copy protected software distribution, or for preparing key diskettes, using an ordinary 1.44 MB floppy drive.
ContraCopy diskettes contain unique information, that is readable only by your application. Applications protected by ContraCopy run under Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP.
There are no hardware or software that can make correct copies of ContraCopy diskettes.
This package contains Alkonost ContraCopy Demo program, that allows to prepare ContraCopy demo diskettes.
If you try to create a copy of an original demo diskette and start test program, you'll see the message 'Not original diskette!'.
Registered users receive a ContraCopy SDK, which contains all needed software and code samples for Borland Delphi, Microsoft Visual C++, Visual C++ .NET, Visual Basic, VB.NET and Borland C++ Builder.

3. INSTALLATION

If you have any previous installations of the ContraCopy, please remove them. To remove an old ContraCopy installation, use the Windows Control Panel ("Add/Remove Programs" icon).
Start Setup.msi.
In Windows 2000/XP you need to restart Windows after the installation.
You must have administrative rights to install the ContraCopy Diskettes Creation System, however after the installation you can prepare ContraCopy diskettes without administrative privileges.
For using of ContraCopy diskettes your users can be logged to NT/2000/XP without administrative privileges.
4. REGISTRATION

Standard Package includes the software for preparing of any number of ContraCopy key diskettes for distribution of ONE application. Once registered, you are granted a non-exclusive license to use Alkonost ContraCopy Standard on one computer at a time (see also License.txt).
Professional Package includes the software for preparing of any number of ContraCopy key diskettes for distribution of FIVE applications. Once registered, you are granted a non-exclusive license to use Alkonost ContraCopy Professional for all developers in the single organization.
