  9. DIZ Master for Windows is a small, but powerful text editor for the creation and
  10. editing of "FILE_ID.DIZ" files.  These files are nothing more than brief text
  11. files with descriptions of the accompanying program files that are archived
  12. together.

  14. INSTALLATION:
  15.  
  16. NOTE: This program requires VBRUN300.DLL to install AND operate. If this file 
  17. is not in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory, be sure to copy it to your hard drive 
  18. from your unzipped file or your distribution disk BEFORE you begin DIZ Master Setup.

  20. To install DIZ Master, unzip DIZM20.ZIP to a floppy diskette.  From Windows'
  21. Program Manager, choose RUN from the FILE menu and type in the path.

  23. Example: A:\SETUP.EXE

  25. DIZ Master Setup will ask you if you want the default installation directory. If so, 
  26. continue with the installation.  If you wish to put DIZ Master in another location, 
  27. enter the path.  Once the installation is complete, you can double-click on the DIZ 
  28. Master icon and begin using DIZ Master.  Please take a minute to look over the 
  29. online help file. I have tried to be as thorough as possible in writing this help 
  30. file, but I have also tried to be as concise as possible so users will take the 
  31. time to understand the "why's" and "how's" of DIZ Master.  If you have any comments 
  32. or questions, please feel free to contact me by E-mail through CompuServe or 
  33. America OnLine.  Both addresses are in the help file under the registration topic.  
  34. A current version of DIZ Master will always be available through THE NEXUS BBS in 
  35. Fredericksburg, Virginia at 703-898-7205 or 898-3835.  Membership to NEXUS is not 
  36. required to download DIZ Master.

  42. Version 1.0 -  Original program released late September 1994
  43. Version 1.1 -  Made changes to Zip Information screen and minor changes to code.
  44.                This version was not released to the general public.
  45. Version 1.2 -  This version was released the first week of October 1994 after a few
  46.                potential problems were discovered.  Also included a toolbar to
  47.                add to ease of use.
  48. Version 1.2a - Changed name of program from WinDiz for Windows to DIZ Master for
  49.                Windows. Made minor changes to code and added more attractive "nag"
  50.                screens with a thorough display of copyright and trademark information.
  51.                Also added digital clock to main screen.
  52. Version 1.2b - Added Toolbar Tips:Tips displays function of each toolbar button under
  53.                each button when the mouse cursor passes over it. Also found and
  54.                corrected a bug in status bar display.
  55. Version 2.0 -  Complete change to user interface using new tabbed dialogs. DM now
  56.                allows the user to specify where he would like to save the completed
  57.                FILE_ID.DIZ file; prior version only allowed saving files to root
  58.                directory of C drive. New layout for viewing ZIPped files. More
  59.                complete system information on About screen. Also, a print function
  60.                has been added. Released March 1995
