File MSVHPX.DOC 2 March 1991
This is to announce MS-DOS Kermit 3.10 for the Hewlett Packard Portable (110)
and Portable Plus laptop computers. There are a number of enhancements
over the previous 2.32 version. An overview of key new features:
(a) Tektronix 4010 emulation is supported.
(b) The internal modem on the HP 110 is supported. Select the
modem port ("SET PORT MODEM"), go to connect mode, and
and then press "Extend char d" (Extended Char and d at
the same time). You will then be asked for the number you
want to dial.
(c) Speed in connect mode is faster. Maximum speed without
flow control is about 3000 baud for the 110 and 4800
baud for the Portable Plus.
(d) The same program works on both the 110 and the Portable Plus.
(e) Several fixes from the 3.00 version, including getting break
to work.
