  11. Who wants to read old news?  Well, if you are a news junkie like I am,
  12. you want to immerse yourself in the latest headlines 24 hours a day.
  13. And when you're done with today's news, you don't mind scanning old
  14. newspapers and magazines for snippets as well.  Even yesterday's news
  15. can provide some insight into the latest breaking stories and is
  16. invaluable if you need to do some research.

  18. Front Page News is a CD-ROM that gives you a year's worth of reports
  19. from UPI (now fighting for its existence), Reuters, PR Newswire,
  20. Business Wire and other wire services.  It utilizes the Folio search
  21. engine, which I think is one of the best and fastest in existence.  (It
  22. is the same one used by Magazine Rack, if you're familiar with that
  23. product).

  25. Searches are quick and easy and you can use multiple keywords to narrow
  26. things down.  One drawback to this product is, since you have access to
  27. raw wire service reports, you may have to dig through several versions
  28. of the same story as they appear on the wire hour after hour.  This is a
  29. minor annoyance that you'll learn to get used to.

  31. Front Page News is great CD-ROM to pull out when you are bored or need
  32. some key research data.  It is also great for impressing your friends
  33. with little-known facts at cocktail parties.  Or for sneaking answers to
  34. tough crossword puzzles.  Four Stars ****
