  5. So installieren Sie die "Fresh-Up Disketten fⁿr Windows 3.1"

  8. 1.    Verlassen Sie Windows    
  9. 2.     Kopieren sie den Inhalt der Disketten 1 und 2 in Ihr Windows\System Verzeichnis
  10.     z.B. copy a:\*.* c:\windows\system
  11. 3.    Im Windows\System Verzeichnis fⁿhren Sie folgende Programme aus:

  13.         311GER1.EXE    und
  14.         311GER2.EXE
  15.  
  16. 4.     Die Fresh-Up Dateien werden automatisch entpackt
  17. 5.    Editieren Sie Ihre SYSTEM.INI (diese befindet sich in Ihrem \Windows Verzeichnis
  18.     z.B. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI) mit einem Texteditor
  19. 6.    Im Abschnitt [386enh] Σndern Sie
  20.  
  21.         DEVICE=*VTD in DEVICE=VTDA.386 um.
  22.  
  23. 7.    Speichern und schlie▀en Sie die Datei.
  24. 8.    Sie k÷nnen nun weiter mit Windows arbeiten.

  26. Notiz:    Sollten Sie Windows als Netzwerkversion installiert haben, dann kopieren Sie
  27. bitte o.g. Dateien in das allgemeine Windows Verzeichnis auf dem Server, fⁿhren Schritt 3. aus,
  28. und versehen die entpackten Dateien mit einem Read-Only Attribut.

  33. How to install the "Fresh-Up Disk for Windows 3.1"

  36. 1.    Exit Windows
  37. 2.    Copy the contents of Disk 3 into your Windows\System directory
  38.     e.g. copy a:\*.* c:\windows\system
  39. 3.    In your Windows\System directory run the following file:

  41.         311ENG.EXE
  42.  
  43. 4.    The Fresh-Up files will be extracted automatically
  44. 5.    In a text editor open your SYSTEM.INI file. It should be located
  45.     in your Windows directory. e.g. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM.INI
  46. 6.    In the [386enh] section, change:
  47.  
  48.     DEVICE=*vtd to DEVICE=VTDA.386
  49.  
  50. 7.    Save and close the file.
  51. 8.    You may now run Windows as usual.

  53. Note:    If you installed Windows as a network installation, please copy above mentioned file
  54. into your common Windows directory on your file server, run the file 311us.exe there,
  55. and mark all copied files as read-only.
