  1. 1.  For an example of how FCOM works, fire up the program by typing
  2. 2.  FCOM at the Dos prompt.
  3. 3.  -------Quick View Lines----------------------------
  4. 4.  Then select Output File from the Menu, and enter in a file name, such
  5. 5.  as TEST.001
  6.     Then choose Select Files,  scroll through the list, highlight the file
  7.     TRYTHIS.TXT, and press F5, you will see the first 5 lines of this file.

  9.     Tag a couple of the smaller files, TRYTHIS.TXT and WHATSUP.DOC, then
  10.     press <ENTER>.
  11.  
  12.     Exit the program and use your favorite file viewer to view TEST.001
  13.     to see the results.

  15.     This just gives you a quick example of the way FCOM works.

  17.     I suggest you learn FCOM with unimportant files,
  18.     especially learning the File Manager.
  19.  
  20.     That way, if you make a mistake, the loss will not cause your
  21.     hair to come out in handfulls!! <grin>
