To lower blood pressure, many
herbalists recommend a few drops of
tincture of garlic. To make the
tincture, soak one half pound of
garlic cloves in one quart of brandy.
(One half pound is a load of
garlic!) Shake the bottle a few
times each day. After two weeks,
strain. The liquid (or tincture)
will keep for about one year. Take
up to 25 drops a day as needed.

To relieve hysteria, sniff crushed
garlic. This also works well as
relief for asthma attacks. Keep the
crushed garlic in a clean baby-food
jar. Cap and refrigerate when not in
use.

To soothe an earache, place a
few drops of warm garlic oil in the
affected ear. Make the garlic oil by
slicing a garlic clove into a small
amount of olive oil. Heat briefly.
Strain before use.

Experienced herbalists recommend
care in using garlic rubs and
poultices. If placed directly against
the skin, they may cause irritation
or even blistering. Apply the crushed
garlic cloves, extracted juice, or
the oil to a piece of gauze that has
been placed over the infection.

was touched was baldness. It was
said that a lotion can be made by
