TRANSCAN v4.11
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o This version should correct a problem where TranScan and QEMM 7+ were
not compatible.
o Documentation was updated to reflect the version change.
o No other modifications were made.
TRANSCAN v4.10
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
" I guess every programmer is entitled to one BIG mistake. v4.09 was one
of those. In the process of fixing one small problem I created quite a
few little ones. TranScan v4.10 should (fingers crossed) fix most if
not all of them. If you have experienced dificulty with v4.09 I am
sorry. I hope you enjoy v4.10." -- Craig
TRANSCAN v4.09
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Added RIP graphics support for Wildcat BBSs. TranScan will detect RIP mode
from the DOOR.SYS file and display a pre-designed screen. REGISTERED users
may edit the codes output in RIP mode. If you do not support RIP on your
Wildcat 3.90 simply delete the TS.RIP file and TranScan will display ANSI
as usual.
o Added test for *.SDN extension to detect SDN files.
o TranScan now updates the Database messages and Quick Stats for Wildcat.
o Fixed problem when adding orphan files to Wildcat.
o Removed "*" from "Save Volume Label?" because it is currently supported.
o TranScan was not writing to log if file already existed on BBS.
o Changed the default of "Import Short Desc." to "Y".
o Fixed toggles on the "TranScan Options" screen for "Compress & Convert?"
and "Save Volume Labels?"
TRANSCAN v4.08
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
o Added "Fail if Error:" field to Compressors, GIF/JPG and Scanners entry
screens. Ranges of errorlevels can be entered using the "-" character
(e.g. "1-23"). Single errorlevels should be seperated by a space
character (e.g. "43 45 67"). The following is an example "Fail if
Error:" field:
1-3 5-250 252 254
o Added up and down arrows headers to the Compressors and GIF/JPG entry
screens to indicate there is more above or below.
o TranScan now saves and then deletes the Volume Label of the WORK Drive
before extracting files. It then restores the volume label after
compressing the files. This should help retain volume labels. This option
is configurable from the "TranScan Options" menu. You will also need to
add -$ to the "UnCompress" command lines for PkUnZip and add -$x (where x
is your work drive) for the "Compress" command line for PkZip. This
feature is relatively un-tested so use at your own risk.
o TS.LST is now opened in "Read Only" mode while processing to avoid
share violations when another node writes to this file.
o Added "Compress & Convert?" entry to "Configure-TranScan Options"
menu. This allows you to turn off all Compressing and Converting.
o Corrected problem where TranScan was not always moving failed files.
o Restored check for Ctrl-Break key presses when TranScan swaps out to
run another program. This should help regain control when one of the
external programs crash.
o Optimized the processing display screen.
o Added support for TBScan and F-Prot. You may wish to add the following
command lines to your "Scanner Set-Up."
Command Line Fail if Error
------------ -------------
TBSCAN.EXE ba in nb nm nh 1-255
F-PROT.EXE /NOMEM 1-255
