  4. "   The EARTHWATCH program will graphically display for you in color the"
  5. "majestic march through time of the earth-moon system showing the 24 hour"
  6. "night/day cycle due to the earth's rotation, the monthly phases of the"
  7. "moon, and the earth's annual trip around the sun, with the passing of"
  8. "the four seasons."

  10. "   A map of the world (Mercator projection) will slowly scroll eastward"
  11. "across the screen as the continents in turn move daily from pre-dawn"
  12. "darkness through sunrise and daylight, then through sunset back to night."

  14. "   Watch the shape of the daylight zone change ever so slowly from day"
  15. "to day as the seasons progress, with the days shorter in winter and"
  16. "longer in summer for the Northern Hemisphere and vice-versa in the"
  17. "Southern Hemisphere."

  20. "   Sunrise and sunset times along with percentage of daylight for your"
  21. "city or anywhere you designate are calculated and displayed for the"
  22. "present date or a date that you choose.  The phase and position of"
  23. "the moon will also be displayed numerically and graphically."

  25. "   A special Almanac screen can be called up to display additional"
  26. "information such as a comparison of sunrise & sunset times with those"
  27. "of the previous day, and the number of days remaining until the beginning"
  28. "of the next season (solstices & equinoxes)."

  30. "   Follow the sun's progress along its annual trek around the Analemma,"
  31. "the figure 8 pattern found frequently on globes that shows the sun's"
  32. "apparent north-south excursions in the sky and the 'equation of time'."

  34. "   See at a glance the local time anywhere on the populated earth and"
  35. "observe whether that location is experiencing night, day, dawn, dusk,"
  36. "or anywhere between."

  41. "   Up to ten locations around the world may be highlighted on the display"
  42. "to help you monitor the status of various cities, etc."

  44. "   All of this may be done accurately and in real time while it is"

  56. "   The EARTHWATCH program will run on any IBM compatible PC equipped"
  57. "with DOS, a minimum of 256K bytes of memory, and at least CGA graphics"

  60. "option), so that your COMMAND.COM file is also included."
