  20. This is a real quick release to take care of a problem with the
  21. Internal Infoforms and Newuser's that apply by inputing the whole name
  22. on the first line where it asks for your first name, It seems that 
  23. the users name was not being properly stuffed to PCB after the Infoforms
  24. Also removed the external Infoforms since they are no longer needed
  25. By the Sysop's running the Matrix, The Infoforms will be Released
  26. in there own PKG from now on.

  28. Also am adding 5 min to the newuser's time when entering the Infoforms
  29. so that PCB does not Terminate the user before they can fill then out.

  33. Ok well there was a small problem with the Internal Infoforms
  34. in the Matrix, 1 was if this option was used then the newuser's
  35. City was not being put in the DATA for NUV.

  37. Also since this was the First release of this Imbedded Infoform's
  38. and it can not log the newuser off since they are not in PCB at the 
  39. point after they fill out the Infoforms, I have put a very Small
  40. PPE in the PKG called HANGUP.PPE this should go where the old 
  41. THT-INFO.PPE was, It will hangup on the Newuser at that point.

  43. Also removed line 6 from the Matrix.cfg make Sure you do this
  44. in the matrix.cfg if you are upgrading from v 3.00

  51. No Expired PPE's from now on, The only thing that I added instead is

  54. Change the way the Matrix will take the user input, Now if a user
  55. Checks for access and enters there Name and then there Password
  56. it get's passed correctly.

  59. of the Matrix now if this option is turned on the InFoForms
  60. will display right after the Last Question on NewUser's this
  61. should make all InFoform's input some what simpler and easier 
  62. for the Sysop's to setup and have it working..

  82. Fixed a bug in the newuser part of the Matrix when a three name user
  83. would apply for access it was not properly checking all three names
  84. against the trash can file.

  86. Well it seems that there has been a bug in the Random Screen's,
  87. The Way I found out was when I tried to install the 9th Ramdom
  88. Screen, It would not come up at all!!!

  91. Also removed the Blinking Unregistered display from All PPE's
  92. in this PKG, All PPE's still need to be Registered but now that
  93. Blinking display has been Removed But also there is a Termination
  94. Date installed in the PPE's, This will let you Evaluate them
  95. and if you would like to keep running the THT-PPE's then
  96. Register them with Thomas E. Enstall @ <<THT>>

  98. Also change the Registration Number's since so many of you said you where
  99. Going to send in the Fee and have not Your Number's will no longer WORK!

  101. For those that have a REAL Registered version contact THT and you will 
  102. Recieve your New Number's. All you all will have to do is run "REGIT"
  103. I have re-writen this Program also now it uses a DATABASE to give out
  104. your number's so if you are not in the database no number's will be
  105. Generated also if your user name on THT is not the same as the one you
  106. Use in PCBoard.dat then I will have to generate a number for you since
  107. the REGIT uses your user name to get the number's.

  109. All THT PPE's now have new number's, Sorry about this but it seems that 
  110. there are Sysop's out there that are not good on there WORD, Where I 
  111. Come from your Word is GOLD. But as I have said there are alot of you
  112. out there that think This Program should be free, Well Sorry but it is
  113. Not and your Numbers will no longer Work Contact THT this time send 
  114. The Small donation. No Number's will be generated without the REG Fee!!

  126. for NewUser so that if there is a match it tell's them they
  127. can not use this login name and dumps them back to the Enter
  128. You Name prompt again, This was done so that when a newuser

  130. the Matrix would dump there data to PCB it would Log them off
  131. with excessive input error's because it would not accept the
  132. Name as it was entered.

  141. Well changed the Way Login works before after entering the System password
  142. The Matrix would drop you to PCB now it jumps to the Enter Your Name
  143. Prompts and does a turbo Login afterwards. Changed all FDPUTLN commands
  144. to FPUTLN because it is still having problems with this new Command
  145. and some versions of the Beta's Since alot of you do not update the beta's
  146. All the Time.

  188. as of 01-12-94 Well when PCB 15.1 is release Hopefully the Code 
  189. will not have to be changed again.

  196. Well in this version I have optimized the Code
  197. added support for NUP to gain access to the Apply command
  198. this means that a NewUser must know the NewUser PassWord to even
  199. get this far. Since the New Compiler came out and the newer Versions
  200. of PCB 15.1 handle the PPE's differently had to change alot of the Code
  201. so that the 15.1 would work properly. Changed the Message Header
  202. so that now it Displays the User's Name and Subject.

  207. with the way a user was able to leave a Comment when they had to

  212. Well found a few problems with the way I was handling the PSA's if they
  213. where installed mostly it was display problems fixed!!

  215. There has been a problem in the FeedBack option from the Matrix
  216. one of the things was if you where to type something in the field
  217. for selection of the Sysop to send mail to then back space though it
  218. then tap enter it would go to the Message entry point FIXED!!!

  220. Also added some code so if a User was to enter a long message to one
  221. of the Sysop's the Header would go away now the text scrolls up the screen
  222. and the header is not moved at all.
  223. Added code so that if the Sysop has the System setup so that a user can

  226. Message System so that the User May Leave a Comment.

  230. Found a nasty BUG in Matrix v 2.13 say if a user had the knowledge of PCB
  231. he could possibly gain access to your Board with SYSOP LEVEL ACCESS.

  233. For this reason I would get rid of v 2.13 & any earlier Version's at this
  234. time.

  238. And to you HACKER's out there Hex-Editing the PPE's from now on may
  239. have a lasting affect on your Machine, I will not say anything more 
  240. about the Code I added to guard against these LAMER'S....
  241. Since $10.00 was to much for them to pay to get a REAL Reg Number for 
  242. the PPE's now Registration has gone up it's now $20.00....

  251. Well still there has been a few Bugs crop up, One had to do with the way
  252. NewUser where handled in some cases if you had replaced prompt 53 with
  253. say a ppe that could have caused some problems also there was a problem
  254. with the DOS Matrix where you couldn't turn off the Run another PPE
  255. and the PAGE.

  258. Well there was a bug in the way I was doing the Checking for the
  259. NewUser's it had to do with user's that used a period in there login
  260. name this has now been fixed.

  265. Cleaned up a Bug in the way the Matrix was reading the Level's
  266. I was reading the wrong Variable, Made some changes to the 
  267. Registration Number so that Boards that use HighAscii character's can
  268. now be Used. Added a few more Prompts to the MATRIX.CFG so take a look
  269. Before you install it. This one seems to be stable I have tested it on 
  270. The Hard Times BBS for almost a week Now with no apparent Problems.
  271. Also am Adding 5 minutes to the Time in the Matrix because of the Fact 
  272. that if a newuser is coming in and is taking his time filling out the
  273. Info PCB would display the 3 minute warning in the screen and then
  274. all cursor Location's afterwards wouldn't be Correct.

  278. Well it seems that I was to hasty in Releasing v 2.10
  279. It had a few really bad Problems, Like not checking the voted status
  280. of User's that are still going though NUV. and some other really strange
  281. problems this Version should Fix most if not all of these problem.
  282. Aslo added to the archive my little ppe that will force all user's to 
  283. use ANSI Color.

  288. Well in this one I changed the way the Matrix treats the Check for access
  289. prompt now if it's the DOS Matrix it will no longer display the Box like
  290. it will when you are in the LightBar Matrix, Also if you are in the LightBar
  291. Matrix and go to check for Access it no longer Display's the Second Box
  292. this makes the display look cleaner, Also added a Turbo Key for those
  293. that have been Accepted as a User it will tell them the first time they
  294. Check for access what the Turbo Key is. Added to the Config file for the 
  295. Prompt for when you are using the DOS Matrix is Now configurable also
  296. added an option to run another PPE from the Matrix Menu. Also
  297. added the Prompt for the Turbo Login Key to the config and an option
  298. of "Y" or "N" if you want to use it. Added a Password for the user's to
  299. enter when they Check for there Access this has to match there password 
  300. before they will be able to see the System Password, Also had the turbo
  301. login dump the PassWord so there is no Delay getting into the Board as 
  302. long as they are a Valid User. Added some code to take care of registering
  303. NewUser's into the Board it will now ask all the Question's that PCB does
  304. before they are dump to PCB so they can be added to the user file.
  305. Added code for the NewUser's to pick there default Protocol.
  306. Added a fix for the PAGE now it will only work between the time's that
  307. you have in PCBoard.dat, Change this after I had a user Paging me
  308. at about 4:30AM, Also now you can hit the space bar to start the chat.
