COMMENT:Most skeptic books adopt an academic tone as claims are dissected and put to the test. Not this one. In Scams From The Great Beyond, Peter Huston writes a skeptics book for "the rest of us." The book is a how-to manual for hoaxing effects from levitating to UFOS -- each presented in P.T. Barnum style. The book is lavishly illustrated with tabloid clippings and photos demonstrating the techniques and their results. This is a good book to leave out for guests (credulous or otherwise) to flip through.
