COMMENT:A collection of academic-style articles mainly in defense of psychic powers and a transcendental/paranormal dimension to existence. The tone is more philosophical, demanding that science broaden its horizons to include psi. There are a few skeptical contributions, and some intriguing articles on social and psychological matters, but this volume is useful mainly in understanding the proponents' perspective. Perhaps inadvertently, it makes it clear that folk psychology and its associated dualism is the main driving force behind the paranormal.
