- Use PKUNZIP to extract the files. The install program will do this for you.
- After the files have been extracted to the above list, use the MAKEINST.BAT
- to set up the disks so that install can be used on them. These disks can
- also be kept as originals for later use.
-
- Type:
- MAKEINST A: or B:
-
- Select either A: or B: depending on which floppy drive you wish to store
- the file on. The program can be stored completely on one 720k 3.5",
- 1.4m 3.5", or 1.2m 5.25 inch disk. When the batch file asks for the second
- disk, pressing space will allow it to place all the files on one disk which
- is fine. If you are using 360k 5.25" disks, you will need two disks to store
- the software on. When the program asks for the second disk, insert the second
- disk and press a key to continue the setup disk creation.
-
- To continue the installation of the software, printout the complete
- documentation file. Use the command:
-
- COPY PCTRACE.DOC PRN:
-
- When you are ready to purchase the software, print out the order.frm with the
- command:
-
- COPY ORDER.FRM PRN:
-
- Please note that neither the PCTRACE.DOC file or the ORDER.FRM file will be
- copied into the PCTRACE5 subdirectory created by the INSTALL.EXE file. These
- files should be printed after exiting this .DOC file. Otherwise you will have
- to unzip the PCTRACE.ZIP file to get these files again or copy them yourself
- into the PCTRACE5 directory after installation.
-
- *******NOTE******
- PCTRACE.EXE and the other files should be run from within the PCTRACE5
- directory. If this is not done, PCTRACE won't be able to find the .def and
- .dia files it needs. For this reason, PCTRACE5 should not be on the PATH.
