The button script contains a link into the USER dll provided with windows.  The script is rather opaque, but I hope the comments help. You can use the ANSI values for the various keys to pass them instead of F.  You can find the ANSI values on page 372 of "Using OpenScript". To send just the ALT key, simply send 0(integer zero) instead of keyF.
