FRANCE: Riviera Radio (ex-RMC Italian Service) is now operating on 702
kHz with 20 kW in English. They have plans to increase to 1200 kW.

INTERNATIONAL WATERS: The Radio Ship, Radio Brod, went off the air on
June 28th, on orders of the company owning the ship. This followed a
complaint by the Yugoslavian government to the ITU. The government of
Caribbean state of St.  Vincent, where the ship is registered, had
made the demand, on behalf of the ITU. The programming, promoting peace
in the former Yugoslavia, was financed by the European Community. The
ship is now in an Italian port undergoing overhaul, and taking on
fuel, food, and water for another three months. The editor is hopeful
they will return to operation. Radio Brod operated on 720 kHz and 97.8

LITHUANIA: From February 1st the new commercial station, R Station
Tau, went on air 0700-1900. The station uses the former Radiocentras
transmitter in Kaunas. Address is P.O.Box 2040, 3000 Kaunas.  RP in

MOLDOVA: Radio Pridnestrovye, the station operated by separtists in
the Dnestr region of Moldova, has been heard on a Saturday on 999 kHz
with a service in English that ended at 2020. This was followed by a
program in German, which announced broadcasts at that time every

RUSSIA: 1089 R Teos is the first Russian Christian Radio Station. It
works since January 20th, 1993 daily from 8 am to 12 pm (local time)
and is using 20 kW transmitter. The official founder is the
Evangelical Russian Church, but it wouldn't have existed without the
support of a Canadian, Mr.Robert Lowe. Their address is P.O.Box 171,
St.Petersburg 194356. V/s was Chief Manager Evgeniy N.Nedzelskiy.

SLOVAKIA: Slovak Radio in English : 0100-0127 to North America on
5930, 7310 and 9810.  0830-0857 to Australia on 11990, 15605, 17535
and 21705.  1830-1857 to West Europe on 5915, 7345 and 9605.  Their

YUGOSLAVIA: 1296 R Podrinja is the station in Loznica with 10 kW.  The
