CHAGOS ISLAND.  Jim, VQ9AC, on Diego Garcia, is quite busy on the
air and plans to be active through July 10.  Catch him on 14030 kHz
at 1500z, 18084 at 1805, 18150 at 1718 and 21030 at 1422.  QSL via
WN8O.

SARAWAK, EASTERN MALAYSIA.  9M8ZZ can be found around 14200 kHz most
days at 1500z.  QSL via PA3FWG.

SAINT PAUL ISLAND.  Duane, WV2B, is planning a DXpedition for July 9
through 12 with an emphasis on the WARC bands.  Some 6 meter
operating may take place.  Please indicate your county on your QSL
card.  QSL 1993 CBA.

ERITREA.  The DXpedition by K5VT, JH1AJT and DJ9ZB has been
rescheduled for August.  This one week operation will include three
full stations, 80 through 6 meters, and operate CW, RTTY, and SSB.

W3GRF SK.  Len Chertok, W3GRF, died on June 24 at the age of 71.  He
was one of the all-time great contest operators and a real ham.
Some of the greatest DX contest battles of the 1950s and 60s were
between him and former ARRL President Vic Clark, W4KFC.  Both of
them steadfastly stuck to bug-sent CW and you always could recognize
them on CW by their fists.  In his later years, despite poor health,
his station was a training ground for neophyte contesters.  Lenny
was a long-time member and former president of the Potomac Valley
Radio Club.  He was an ARRL life member.  The funeral was June 28
and burial was in Cheltenham, MD.
