What's the deal with the floor that moves (near the statue)?

Have you noticed that whenever you stand on it, it goes down a bit?

If you had enough weight, it would probably go down quite a bit.

There is something in the area that provides enough weight.  Look around a
bit for it.

That statue head is heavy enough to do the trick.
