How do I open the safe in the Commander's Quarters

And about the only way to force that safe open is with an explosive.

There's one in space, outside the airlock in the Village.

It should melt if you don't do things right.  See that question.

Now you need a place to put the explosive, like a hole.

A drill should do it.

Hint 7 of 12:

Drill the safe.

Hint 8 of 12:

By the way, you'll need either the medium or large drill bit.
