Can Crispin's wand be used for anything?

It is used mostly as a copy-protection scheme.
Sometimes you will need to pick letters based on symbols in the book.
You will use it for a real purpose before the game's end, though.

How to write UHS files...

If you'd like to write a UHS file, download the compiler for your computer
from either the GAMERS forum on CIS or Scorpia's Games RT on GEnie.  Then,
contact Jason Strautman (CIS: [72337,2611]; GEnie: J.STRAUTMAN) to make
sure that no one else is working on the same file.  And make sure to follow
the guidelines included with your compiler.
