What should I do with the spindle in the map room?

Put the stones on the spindle.

You will now need a Worldstone.  Sternhart has one, but you will need to
go down the minotaur-head elevator (with the shaky floor).  See an
earlier question if you haven't been able to get down that yet.  [T,W]

In FISTS, get the amber fish from Arnold and use it in the room where
you found it.  Then talk to the pit, and free Sophia.
