What am I supposed to do when get back to the Statue?

Hint 1 of 7:

Don't you remember why you went underground in the first place?

Hint 2 of 7:

To get fire from the dragon down there.  It has special powers, remember?

Hint 3 of 7:

So try using the fire's powers on the statue.

Hint 4 of 7:

Use the dagger on the statue's medallion.

Hint 5 of 7:

Now it's time to use the statue to break the enchantment on the voodoo
doll that you've been carrying around all this time.

Hint 6 of 7:

Put the dagger (and doll) in the statue's left hand.  Wait around for a
few seconds and you'll get a key in exchange.

Hint 7 of 7:

The key goes in the statue's right ear.  It will activate a special device
that helps you get off the screen.  Try walking around for a bit.
