ELECTRONIC ARTS BULLFROG PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS THEME PARK Available March for the IBM PC and compatibles Bullfrog has announced the release of Theme Park for the IBM PC and compatibles in March. It is always cause for celebration when the creators of Populous, Populous II, Powermonger and this summer's number one hit - Syndicate, unveil a new product, and Bullfrog's Theme Park is no exception to this rule. The player takes the role of nephew to a fabulously wealthy but richly eccentric old lady. Her life, spent devoted to one great passion - theme parks, comes to an end, and the player inherits her riches. But one catch accompanies this windfall - he must build the world's biggest and best theme park! From choice of laction - California? Florida? the North Pole? - to physically designing, building and maintaining the attractions, The Park is a fiendishly addictive and remarkably original title that bears the distinctive Bullfrog hallmark. The player feels the buzz from the arrival of the first coach load of excited visitors. Will they enjoy the fruits of his labours, or will they go home dejected and tell all their friends not to bother? Each ride has its own 'wow' factor and each visitor his or her own personality. Their reactions give you a clear idea of how successful your venture is proving! But success in itself can bring adversity. The more popular your park, the more people will visit, and the greater the player's revenue. However this will also mean the more people will have to queue, and the sooner they become fed up. The player can always opt to employ a character in the ever popular shrimp costume to entertain them! But the more people who use a ride the more that ride will deteriorate with wear and tear ultimately become dangerous! What if the visitors become hungry? Again the player can opt to build burger bars, but this can lead to litter problems - who said this was going to be easy!? Theme Park is a brilliantly original design and management game with the challenge and stimulus of a business sim combined with the pure addiction and entertainment of a 'god game'. Theme Park is scheduled for release in March form Bullfrog for IBM PC and compatibles priced œ44.99. Theme Park will be published and disitributed by Electronic Arts.
