The price for Reply Mail Designer is $119.95 in U.S. dollars. You can send e-mail to Citation Software Inc. via CompuServe at 73740,3372. WHAT IS "Reply Mail Designer"? Reply Mail Designer is a software program which allows you to create Business Reply envelopes/postcards and Courtesy Reply envelopes/postcards with a PC and a laser printer, inkjet printer, or imagesetter. Reply Mail Designer can create a complete Business/Courtesy Reply envelope or postcard, including the FIM and POSTNET bar codes, the mailing address, the permit information, and all other graphic elements and text elements required by the U.S. Postal Service. Just give Reply Mail Designer a few pieces of information, and it lays out your envelope or postcard with everything positioned according to U.S. Postal Service requirements. Reply Mail Designer has been CERTIFIED by the Postal Service. It understands the Postal Service's mailpiece-design requirements, so it can lay out your envelopes & postcards instantly and correctly. If you like, you can use Reply Mail Designer to create only some of the elements on the envelope or postcard. For example, you might want to use it to create only the FIM and POSTNET bar codes. With Reply Mail Designer you can print directly onto envelopes & postcards, you can print artwork to make printing plates, and you can save your envelope/postcard designs in editable Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) format for use in Adobe Illustrator, Quark Xpress, PageMaker, etc. You can even use the EPS files on a Mac! Reply Mail Designer runs on IBM-PS/1's, IBM-PS/2's, and IBM-PC-compatible computers. It prints on PostScript printers & imagesetters and on Hewlett-Packard Series III/IV printers or PCL 5-compatible printers (such as the Desk Jet 1200). You can use a mouse with Reply Mail Designer, but a mouse is not required. If your mouse doesn't work when you run the demonstration version of the program, it's probably because you need to load the "mouse-driver" program (usually named MOUSE.SYS or MOUSE.COM) that came with the mouse. Load the mouse- driver program by following the instructions supplied by the mouse manufacturer; then try running the demonstration program again. The name of the Reply Mail Designer demonstration program file is RMDDEMO.EXE. The demonstration program requires 15 other Reply Mail Designer files to run; all of these files are contained in the self-extracting archive file RMDZNR.EXE which you probably just executed. All these files must be located in the same directory as RMDDEMO.EXE. To run the Reply Mail Designer demonstration program under DOS, type RMDDEMO Follow the instructions on the screen. If you like, you can run the program under Windows or OS/2. Run it the same way you would run any DOS program under Windows or OS/2. NOTE that the demonstration version of Reply Mail Designer prints the word "SAMPLE" - along with some shading under the bar codes - on each envelope or card that you print. This only happens with the demonstration version; envelopes & postcards created with the real Reply Mail Designer program will not have any extra objects printed on them. As stated above, Reply Mail Designer costs $119.95. Call 1-800-872-7375 to to ask questions or to place your order.
