Expired.PPE History file. 01/21/94 ~~~~~~~~ Fixed the problem it had when leaving messages it would actually save the 'quit' along with the message. Also, had a report where the expired users were not being recognized. Fixed it by taking the expired level straight from PCBoard. This adds sort of a problem though since the PPE will not be able to be used to annoy the user that has his expiration level set to his current level. It's still perfect for sysop testing though if you have yourself set to expire to the same level. In any case, it will still work if you put it in your EXPIRED display file. 01/20/94 ~~~~~~~~ MAJOR CHANGES!!! Added an semi-crappy internal message editor to allow for better control of the 'send a message' option. I know lots of you had the same problem where the user would just go back to the board without sending the message. Soooo, I sat here and figured out the best way to make sure they just didn't go back was to create a built in message editor. It is a bit rough, but maybe once I learn to program I'll make it better! Changed it so that now you may enter the complete path to your 'RATES' bulletin. The previous versions only allowed you to display it if it was in the same directory as the PPE was. Got reports that the PPE would not work with TABS PPE's.. I have not been able to duplicate this problem myself, so if you can tell me the name of the PPE you use (or maybe even upload it to me!) I will try it out and will get back to you on that one! I have also had complaints ranging from 'I cannot seem to download RULES.TXT'. You have to remember to put the files you choose in your download path for any conference you have as 'rejoin'. Also, in order for the user to not be allowed 'some' bytes, you can make both the files free downloads via your PCBsetup. 01/18/94 ~~~~~~~~ WOW! Someone actually needed support! Thank you Tim Neff for letting me know that someone was actually using it! Fixed the problem the PPE had if the user was loggin in for the first time and tried to download files. I was using the KBDSTUFF routine and that would cause the PPE to exit to the board where it could get interrupted by the NEWS screens or other PPE's you might have been running, hence creating a problem of putting the user back on the command prompt without downloading anything. Added support for a 2nd PPE. Some of you might be running a TABS PPE which will fit perfectly into the Expired PPE now. 12/21/93 ~~~~~~~~ First non-beta release! Added option to check for expired security level (Thanks to Scott Robison for holding my hand while he walked me through the mistakes I had made!) and gave the PPE the ability to be used as an annoyance screen that could be displayed every time the user does something! Changed the look of the EXPIRED.ANS to reflect the users stats and to show him a bit more information on what he had done before his account expired. Added the option to leave the sysop a message. 12/19/93 ~~~~~~~~ Added the option to log user after the first prompt and when he tries to exit the PPE. 12/18/93 ~~~~~~~~ Was up til 5am writing a PPE instead of creating an EXPIRED screen that would have taken considerable less time! We no need no stinking HISTORY file!
